1) Acceptance of These Terms

Welcome to Scalera Contracting (“Scalera,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By visiting our website, requesting a quote, scheduling work, or communicating with us (including via phone, email, or SMS), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.


2) Services & Scope of Work

Scalera Contracting provides residential and commercial wall resurfacing, skim coating, drywall repair, and interior surface preparation services.

Scope & Estimates

All services, pricing, materials, and timelines are defined in your written estimate, proposal, or signed work order.

Estimates are based on visible conditions at the time of inspection or information provided by the client.

Any work requested outside the original scope may require a revised estimate and additional fees.

We do not perform structural work unless expressly stated in writing.


3) Scheduling, Access & Job Site Conditions

Property Access

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area, including:

Clear entryways

Adequate working space

Electrical access if required

If access is restricted, unsafe, or delayed, we reserve the right to reschedule or apply a service fee.

Safety & Limitations

For safety and compliance reasons, Scalera Contracting does not perform:

Hazardous or unsafe work environments

Unpermitted structural modifications

Mold remediation, asbestos removal, or biohazard cleanup

Work on unstable or compromised surfaces not disclosed prior to service

You agree to disclose any known hazards at the job site before work begins.


4) Pricing, Payment & Taxes

Estimates & Adjustments

Pricing may change if:

Site conditions differ materially from what was disclosed

Additional labor, materials, or prep work is required

Work is delayed due to access issues or unforeseen conditions

Payments

A deposit, signed agreement, or valid payment method may be required prior to scheduling work.

You authorize Scalera Contracting to charge the agreed-upon amount for services rendered, including approved change orders and applicable taxes.

Late or failed payments may result in additional fees or suspension of services.


5) Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Show Policy

We request as much notice as possible for cancellations or rescheduling.

Changes made within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment may result in a fee to cover labor and scheduling costs.

If our crew arrives and cannot begin work due to lack of access, unsafe conditions, or client absence, a no-access or lock-out fee may apply.


6) Satisfaction & Workmanship

If you believe any portion of the work was missed or not completed as agreed, please notify us within 24 hours of service completion with details or photos.

If appropriate, we will assess the concern and may return to address it. This does not apply to:

Normal wear

Post-service damage

Conditions outside the original scope of work


7) Condition Limits & Exclusions

Scalera Contracting does not guarantee:

Correction of underlying structural issues

Removal of permanent damage caused by moisture, settling, or prior construction

Performance outcomes affected by pre-existing conditions

Results impacted by materials, surfaces, or conditions outside our control

We are not responsible for damage caused by undisclosed conditions or previous workmanship.


8) Damages & Claims

Any claim of damage must be reported within 24 hours of service completion with written documentation and photos.

Our liability, if any, is limited to the lesser of:

The amount paid for the specific service, or

The reasonable cost of repair or replacement

We are not responsible for hidden utilities, wiring, plumbing, or infrastructure not disclosed or visible prior to service.


9) Photos, Reviews & Testimonials

With your permission, we may take before-and-after photos of completed work for quality assurance or marketing purposes.

By submitting a review or testimonial, you grant Scalera Contracting a non-exclusive right to use it for promotional and marketing purposes.


10) SMS Program Terms (“Scalera Contracting SMS Alerts”)

Program Description

If you opt in, you may receive SMS messages related to:

Quotes and estimates

Appointment confirmations and updates

Service follow-ups

Review requests

Occasional service announcements

Opt-Out

You may cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. After confirmation, you will no longer receive messages. To rejoin, you must opt in again.

For assistance, reply HELP or contact us directly.

Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

11) Changes to These Terms
